Canon Digital IXUS 65 Review
An incredibly slender digital camera which cannot fail to impress you with its style and performance.
The 6 megapixel CCD sensor in the Canon Digital IXUS 65 captures every minute detail whilst the ultra high refractive index aspherical 3x optical zoom lens delivers crystal clear images.
The Canon IXUS 65 has a very large 3" LCD with a wide viewing angle and choices of brightness for day or night shooting. It also has an innovative touch control dial which allows easy access to key functions and the scrolling through of images.
As well as the DIGIC II processor which gives a rapid response and the SAPS technology which optimises key settings before the shot is taken, the Digital IXUS 65 offers the choice of 16 special shooting modes including beach and underwater. These modes help with difficult lighting conditions by selecting settings for you and, in addition, there is the My Colors mode, the use of which allows the application of colour effects to be applied both before and after the shot is taken.
The IXUS 65's ISO 800 and high ISO auto settings allow flash free shooting both indoors and in low light conditions as well as enabling shooting at higher shutter speeds which will reduce any blurring of your image.
Still images can also be shot in widescreen for playback on widescreen TV or printing onto wider paper and the Canon IXUS 65, dependent upon memory capacity, is also capable of shooting extra long 30fps VGA movies with sound or QVGA movies.
If available where you are located, CANON iMAGE GATEWAY provides 100 MB of web space for an online photo album and the relevant software for this is included within the package. The IXUS 65 can be connected to any PictBridge or Canon Direct Print compatible photo printer for prints to be easily produced at the touch of a button.

My partner bought this for me to celebrate our ninth anniversary, mainly because he knew that I would love its style and he was right. The two tone finish sets it apart and because it's super slim it is easy to have with you.
One of my hobbies is scrapbooking and I have found this camera to be invaluable because it is always to hand. I now have some great pictures in my scrapbooks because one of the other pluses of this camera is that it takes excellent colour photographs without much assistance from myself.

Such a lot of power for such a small camera. Almost instant turn on with virtually no shutter lag and so far none of my shots have been blurred, they are colourful and very clear. Miss the viewfinder a bit but the 3" screen goes a long way to make up for this. Recommended buy

This camera is a fashion statement, I get great comments whenever I take it out of my handbag. It takes a superb picture, no blurring and the colours are very true to life. When taking a slightly different shot I find that when prefocussing a little box shows me where my focus point is and this is a great help. Don't really have any negative comment. Some users may find that they miss a viewfinder but this has not given me any problems.
