Canon Digital IXUS 900 Ti Review

The Canon IXUS 900 Ti retains the perpetual curve design, has a solid titanium body which is stronger than steel (very much lighter) and features a Touch Control Dial.

This ultra-compact body houses 10 megapixels, 3x optical zoom and DIGIC III image processor with advanced noise reduction technology.

DIGIC III also includes Face Detection AF/AE where the camera recognises faces (up to nine faces in one scene) and selects the most appropriate focus and exposure. The high resolution of the CCD sensor produces the amount of detail that allows for high quality poster size prints to be produced.

The Canon IXUS 900 Ti has digital tele-converter and safety zoom giving additional telephoto reach together with 18 shooting modes which include two new scene modes - aquarium which gives quality shots when taken through a glass tank and ISO 3200 which enables high quality images to be taken in a very dark environment when it is not possible to use flash. XGA movies can be recorded with sound at 15 fps and VGA movies at 30 fps. The My Colors feature allows for effects to be applied in-camera during and after shooting.

Images can be viewed on the wide angled 2.5" LCD screen which has been finished with an anti-reflective coating. The Canon IXUS 900 Ti is speedy to operate and also uses DDR-SDRAM to significantly increase data throughput rates.
