The Canon IXUS Wireless has a new Slit & Frame design with a silver finish and incorporates a blue LED that lights up during wireless communication. Detailed images are achieved up to A3 size with the 5 megapixel CCD Sensor and the 3x optical zoom includes two ultra high refractive index aspherical (UA) elements. The IXUS Wireless houses a DIGIC II Image processor ensuring fast response and which also powers the 9-point AiAF for accurate focusing. The iSAPS technology ensures that optimum settings are chosen before a scene is shot.

Fourteen shooting modes are available covering a wide range of situations; auto, manual, digital macro, portrait, stitch assist, night and six preset scene modes. Movie mode allows for high quality VGA movies with sound to be shot at 30 fps and the My Colors feature allows for special effects to be added in-camera such as colour swap and custom colour. Images can be viewed on the bright 2" LCD or on a TV using the AV connection supplied.

CANON iMAGE GATEWAY membership is open to owners of the IXUS Wireless and this offers 100 MB of online space for uploading and sharing images with family and friends. Software includes Canon's ZoomBrowser EX 5.5 (Windows) and ImageBrowser 5.5 (Mac) enabling photos, movies and slide shows to be edited and organised.
