Canon PowerShot A410 Review
The Canon PowerShot A410 is very much a family camera in that it is simple for all members to use, especially with the grid line display which helps anyone to achieve well balanced pictures. Excellent results are easily achievable during daylight but there is also a Night Display function on the LCD screen which makes shooting in the dark more successful.
This PowerShot A410 is very affordable with the 3.2 megapixel sensor giving plenty of resolution to produce quality photo prints of up to A4 and the 3.2 optical zoom ensuring that far away objects focus clearly with the help of the digital zoom and its 10x magnification.
The iSAPS within the A410 takes in the surrounding area and optimises settings prior to the shot being taken whilst DIGIC II links camera functions and processes at high speed. This to make the camera more responsive whilst also extending battery life.
Close up shots, showing fine detail, can be taken as near as 1.5 cm from the subject and the 5-point AiAF will give precise photos even if the subject is not central to the shot.
When you are looking for variety, or are experiencing difficult conditions, the PowerShot A410 has 14 modes for easy automatic shooting. There are also 8 special modes which include Indoor, Night, Snow, Fireworks, Beach and Kids & Pets and the My Colours allows you to add standard colours to your pictures or movies.
You can also produce a 3-minute 20fps QVGA or 10fps VGA size movie with the Canon Powershot A410 to which you can add your own sound track using the software supplied with the camera. In a way, you have gained a built in mini camcorder.
When your camera is connected to any PictBridge or Canon Direct Print compatible photo printer you can have instant quality prints or the ability to print ID photos and movie prints if connected to a Canon SELPHY Compact Photo Printer.
If the CANON iMAGE GATEWAY is available in your area, this provides 100MB of web space for your own online photo gallery. The software that comes with this camera enables you to browse, edit, organise and download.

The Canon PowerShot A410 is really simple to use, even my 7 year old son can take photos in point and shoot mode, the digital zoom is really good especially compared to other of the same price. I would recommend getting a larger memory card and some rechargeable batteries though.

The Power shot A410 is a very good quality camera, it has 3.2 megapixels which is plenty for printing out 6 x 4 photographs. It also records movies but they are not very long, so I dont really bother. The size is great, just the right size to carry with me in my handbag without being so small that I loose it.

I never thought you could get a camera this good for so little money, but canon have acheived the impossible, I was a bit sceptical about the quality when I bought it but I could'nt afford any of the more expensive models, so far I have been delighted. The pictures are clear and bright and the zoom lets you get in nice and close, it can also focus really well on close up objects, I took some photos of the flowers in my garden and you can see every little detail. The memory is expandable so if the supplied memory card is'nt big enough you can easily add more. There are more advanced features, but I just leave it in auto mode most of the time and it works just fine. Overall this is a great quality camera, ideal for first time users.
