I had my first digi camera stolen.. I bought a Canon A430 after being undecided what to get.. I got talking to a camera shop sales woman who got out several cameras for me to handle.. I liked the feel of the A430, seemed to fit my hand snugly... I used it for several months then I was asked to photograph my friends wedding rings for her album cover. She was so pleased with the result as I was in close up mode. on the 21/06/2007 I photographed her wedding from start to finish signing the register and walking up the aisle to thewm leaving at night for their honeymoon.. The camera handles large crowds of people with ease after I struggled to get them in the right order.. I took 60 photos in differing light conditions: In thre sunshine, rain, and at the recption.. I tried to keep to natural light which faded a little as the night wore on.. I was happy with the results and so was the bride and groom.. I made two CD's for the happy couple as a wedding present from me....

Mum bought me this for Christmas as I had been going on about having a camera of my own for ages. It is very easy to use and I have got some lovely pictures that I have taken to school and shown my friends.

I know some of my friends would like one now - hope they are lucky too.

If you going out taking pictures for the day and haven't yet bought any rechargeable batteries then I would suggest taking a pocketful of AAs with you. Mind you, this is really the only negative thing I have to say as, apart from the battery life, it is a great little everyday camera.

Good price, easy to use and enough featurs to keep me interested.

Would recommend for older children and starters.

A friend of mine, who is a much more experienced photographer than me, gave me this camera when he bought a replacement - he thought it would be a good one for me to learn on.

I have to agree with him because I have found it so easy to pick up and use and produce great results, there are so many features to help me with different situations.

I have bought another memory card as the 16MB that I was given with the camera is not big enough.

For - easy to use, small in size, speedy, lots of features.
Against - battery life (buy rechargeables they are much better), 16MB memory card not big enough, flash could be better

However, good camera for its price
