The A620 is certainly bulkier in shape than others but seems to be durable and the difference in shape is a small price to pay for the extra battery life. I find that I am getting approximately 370 shots from one set of battteries and that by using the viewfinder rather than the LCD, and flash only when really necessary, that this also helps extend the battery life.
My best pictures have been achieved outdoors, indoors is perfectably acceptable but does not quite match the excellent outdoor quality. Colour is also very good and is pretty much actual shades.
All in all, a very versatile camera that takes excellent photographs. I would say, one of the better digital cameras available.

I was looking for something that was in between a compact and SLR and, after reading various articles, decided that the A620 would be the one to buy.
Overall, I have been extremely pleased with the results as I have managed to produce some excellent pictures with the help of the many features that are available. Wasn't sure if I was comfortable with the buttons to start with but once I had got used to them have found them to be well-spaced and easy to use. Battery life is excellent (having double the power) and the camera is ready for action very quickly so that you can shoot straight away and hopefully not miss that special picture. Video clips I found slightly disappointing but then I did not buy this camera specially for this feature. However, it is still a handy option to have at your fingertips.

Since I was given the A620 I have gradually built up quite a portfolio of quality photographs.
Although a bit chunkier than other digital cameras, I find this one to have so many varied features that the solidness is not important and, in fact, I have very quickly become comfortable with its shape and handling.
One thing I really appreciate is the fact that I have the choice of either setting up the type of shot I want to take, or letting the camera think for me if I need to be quick and not miss the shot.
Close-ups come out extremely well and, sometimes, I find that using the flash outdoors (say on a flower) results in an even better image. Colour quality is also very good and the zoom lens moves easily and is fairly quiet.
Will progress to video clips and let you know how I get on.

Had the A620 for a few weeks now and, so far, have been impressed. This is slightly larger than a compact camera but this has not presented any problems and, in fact, I quite like the more solid feel of it now. It is quick, offers a wide range of features both manual and automatic, produces great image quality and colour, zoom works well for close-up shots, best battery life so far experienced and it didn't break the bank. Only feature I have found to be slightly under par is the video clip, would have liked to have had the image stabilisation facility.
