My Dad is a photographer but I have only recently developed an interest in taking photographs myself. He suggested I try the A630 and this camera has certainly encouraged me to continue.
It is easy to hold, the menus are fairly easy to master and with all the features available it doesn't seem capable of taking a bad shot.
I am very pleased with what I have achieved so far and I can see that I still have a lot of experimenting I can do, such as using the My Colors feature (I can dream up some unusual photos here).
Would recommend this to anyone

Having previously been a Sony fan, I was taking a chance buying this camera but, on paper, it looked to be a worthwhile gamble. Outcome is that I am very pleased I took the risk, it is a great camera and I have done some of my best work so far. With 8 megapixels, 4x zoom and DIGIC II, precision and colour are excellent and another excellent feature is the swivelling LCD screen. The stitch assist mode has let me take some very passable panoramic shots and the My Colors is worth playing with. All in all well worth buying.
