Canon PowerShot A75 Review
The Canon PowerShot A75 is a digital camera that works with you, making adjustments to the settings even before you have taken the picture so as to speed the focusing and gain optimum exposure.
Canon Visionary Technologies ensure that accurate, high quality images are obtained using the combination of a superb quality lens, precision sensor and super fast processor. The 9-point AiAF improves the focusing of pictures, even when the subject is not in the centre.
An affordable camera which is suitable for both beginners and those wishing to experiment with digital photography and which can still offer remarkable results.
Beginners will be able to produce excellent results just by pointing and shooting whilst the various features available will still make this an interesting camera for those who want to be more creative.
The Canon PowerShot A75 has 3.2 Megapixel and 3x optical zoom to bring subjects closer. 13 different shooting modes are available to experiment with including a new 'Scene mode' which allows entry to further modes such as Fireworks, Foliage, Beach and Snow.
You can record up to 180 second movie clips, complete with sound, which can be played back on the 1.8" LCD monitor. The A75 can also record up to 30 second VGA clips for high definition playback on a television.
If you do not have a PC, connection to any Canon Direct Print or PictBridge compatible printer will let you print your images and, when connected to a Canon Compact Photo Printer, ID photos and movie clips can be produced.
For those with a Windows PC the Print/Share button simplifies uploads.
You can arrange photo albums, crop photographs and adjust contrast and brightness easily by using Canon's ZoomBrowser EX (for Windows) and ImageBrowser (for Macintosh).
If CANON iMAGE GATEWAY is available to you, you can share with family and friends on the 100MB free storage.
Included in the optional accessories is a waterproof and shockproof housing which gives you the scope to shoot in any weather conditions and underwater to a depth of 40m. Wide, tele converter and close up lenses are also available which can transform this A75 into something much more powerful.

I have had this camera for about a month and have taken hundreds of photos with it, the ease of use and photo quality is great but it is quite slow.

This is my first digital camera and not being particularly techie I was quite worried that I would'nt be able to use it properly, however I have been able to take pictures, install all the software and send my pictures by email all within one day! I was amazed at how easy it was, I just followed Canon's instructions and it was done. The images are great and being able to share them via email is even better. I would highly recommend this camera.

I had no idea how bad my old camera was untill I bought the Powershot A75, I read a lot of user reviews before buying, and they were right it has the most features and is very easy to use, unless you make a living taking photos this is definately the best choice for a compact digital camera, but do remember to get a bigger memory card when you buy.

Our old film camera died just before christmas so I decided that it was time for a new one, and the A75 came very highly recommended from all the user reviews. What an difference it makes having a digital camera, no more processing, I can do it all on the computer. It has more features than we will ever use but the picture quality is great and if it doesent come out right I can just take it again. I would recommend getting a bigger memory card and some rechargeable batteries but they dont cost that much, especially if you shop around online. No more worrying about whether a photo is going to come out...
