Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z77 Review
The Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z77 is an excellent camera for the whole family as it is user friendly, fun to use and even a beginner to photography will be able to take great shots.This camera features the EXILIM Engine 2.0 and has choices of EASY mode, BEST SHOT (with 41 preselected scenarios to choose from) and normal settings and so is able to suit all levels of skill.
The Casio EX-Z77 has 7.38 megapixels, 3x optical and 4x digital zoom (12x total in combination) and 6 lenses in 5 groups including aspherical lens. Focus ranges are manual, normal and macro with focus modes of auto, infinity, pan, macro and contrast detection auto focus. Images are recorded as JPEG (Exif Ver2.2), DCF, DPOF compliant, movies as H264/AVC.MOV WAV and are stored on the internal memory of approximately 11.4MB. There is also a card slot which takes SD/SDHC/MMC/MMCplus. White Balance has manual, auto and 6 fixed modes, flash functions are auto, on, off, soft and red-eye reduction and ISO sensitivity equivalents are auto, 50/100/200/400/800 with 800 being used with AntiShake and 1600 with the BEST SHOT high sensitivity function.
Recording modes within the Exilim EX-Z77 are; still image, still with audio, movie with audio, voice recorder and 41 preselected scenarios to select from in BEST SHOT. Images can be played back as; still image, slideshow, 9 image display, movie, calendar, favourites folder and editing choices. A rechargeable lithium-ion battery (NP-20) powers the Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z77 which has a charge life of approximately 190 images, playback of just over 3 hours and continuous recording of approximately 1 hour 15 minutes.
The Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z77 measures approximately 95 x 59 x 19.8mm and weighs 118g without batteries. Accessories include battery and charger, USB/AV cables, AC power cord, wrist strap and CD-ROM.
