Fuji FinePix A600 Zoom Review

The Fuji FinePix A600 Zoom produces precise, high resolution pictures, ideal for enlarging. This is because of its 6.3 megapixel Super CCD HR and 18.6x total zoom - 3x optical plus 6.2x digital.

The well positioned controls make the Fuji FinePix A600 Zoom easy to operate and it is ready to shoot at the touch of a button. Images are stored as JPEG (Exif Ver.2.2) and AVI (Motion JPEG) and can be reviewed on the 2.4" multi language LCD monitor that has approximately 91% coverage.

The Fuji A600 Zoom has an internal memory of approximately 12MB and is xD-Picture Card compatible. Movies can be recorded as QVGA at 10fps with sound.

The Fuji FinePix A600 Zoom is powered by 2x AA size alkaline/NiMH battery with an AC power adaptor available as an optional accessory. Sensitivity is automatic and equivalent to ISO 100/400 depending upon conditions, White Balance offers automatic scene recognition and presets of fine, flourescents, shade and incandescent. Flash modes include; auto, red-eye reduction, suppressed flash, forced flash and slow synchro. Shooting modes where settings have been preselected are also included for portrait, landscape, sport and night scenes.

Other features include enhanced macro mode, video output for TV monitor (NTSC/PAL), USB digital interface and the FinePix A600 Zoom is PictBridge compatible.

I'm a fairly new owner so have not tested this camera to its full yet but so far I have been very pleased with the results. In good light it produces fantastic pictures and is only just a little under par in low light.

It is extremely good value for money but it does use up batteries fairly quickly.

Fabulous Fuji - I love my A600, it goes everywhere with me.

Pictures are high quality, the 2.4" screen shows them off beautifully, it is easy to use and was a great price.

I don't believe you will find better value for money than this. Large, bright screen, easy to use straight away, very good quality of picture. Only con is that you will need a good supply of batteries.
