Fuji FinePix E900 Zoom Review
The combination of 9 megapixels and high quality Fujinon lens enables you to capture the highest quality image possible with the Fuji FinePix E900 Zoom. This together with the highly sensitive Super CCD HR ensures that colour and contrast are at the top end of the range as, by using this innovative technology, images do not appear to be 'digitalised'. It also gives the added benefit of RAW format shooting.
In order to obtain the best from the Super CCD sensor, the FinePix E900 Zoom also incorporates the Fujifilm Real Photo Technology which delivers very good results in low light conditions.
This is an automatic camera which also has the benefit of having full manual controls. The FinePix E900 gives you the choice of using set modes or being more creative by selecting your own.
The Fuji E900 has the Fujinon 4x optical zoom lens and a digital zoom of 7.6x with a variable shutter speed depending on the shooting mode chosen. This camera can give a fast response with a shutter lag of only 0.01 seconds with 1.3 seconds required for start up.
Images can be viewed on the 2" LCD monitor which allows nearly 100% coverage.
White balance is automatic or can be chosen from a selection of manual modes. There is a range of shooting modes available including; sports, night and portrait within the FinePix E900.
Flash is automatic and offers red-eye reduction, or there is a natural light mode for when flash is not suitable or is prohibited. The sensitivity range has ISO settings; Auto/80/100/200/400/800 with the Auto mode including anti-blur programme to deal with blurring, movement or shake.
VGA Movies with sound can be recorded on the E900 at a rate of 30fps and it is PictBridge compatible.
Accessories include 16MB xD-Picture card, 2 AA size rechargeable batteries and a battery charger.
Amongst the optional accessories available to the FinePix E900 are tele conversion and wide conversion lenses.

This camera gives full control plus an idiot proof point and shoot program mode. The build quality is excellent and the black and silver design makes the camera look and feel a quality product. The addition of a veiwfinder is a welcome facility in this day of nearly all digital compacts only having a screen. Not everone wants to hold a camera in front of them whilst framing an image !!
All in all a very good camera. My only complaint is that is is a little larger than I would like, but with the quality this unit delivers who cares !!!

My sister plays in our local netball team and they wanted some promotional photographs for an article in a magazine. Knowing that I could select a sports mode on my camera, I volunteered to take some shots. Well, everyone was extremely pleased with the photos that I took which were not blurred at all and it looks like I will now become the 'team photographer'. I was already pleased with this camera and this was just another string to its bow.

When looking to change my camera, I wanted one that had both automatic and manual controls. This way, I could either let the camera do the work or, if I felt like being creative, I could choose appropriate settings myself. This camera gives me both options and has a movie mode thrown in as well.
I am enjoying using it, it feels good, not difficult to understand and produces high quality images in excellent colour.
