The Fuji FinePix F45fd has been produced exclusively for Argos in the UK, it has an ocean blue metallic body, its dimensions are 95.7mmW x 59mmH x 23.3mmD and weight is approximately 181g including battery and memory card. This small, compact body houses Fujifilm latest technologies including Real Photo Processor II, Face Detection and Super CCD HR VI sensor ensuring that excellent results are always attained.

8.3 MP Super CCD HR, 3x optical zoom lens, F2.8 - F5.1 and 6.9x digital zoom offer an extensive scope, sensitivity to light, faster shutter speeds to reduce image blur and the need for flash in low light conditions.

Real Photo technology combines CCD, lens and processor to achieve rich colour and precision, Face Detection mode hones in on any faces in your picture and automatically adjusts focus, exposure and flash to ensure that the best results are achieved. ISO sensitivity range is auto from 100/20/400/800/1600 as standard and ISO 2000 using the anti-blur/natural light mode. White Balance range is automatic scene recognition and presets of fine, fluorescents, incandescent, custom and shade.

The Fuji F45fd has an automatic flash with modes of auto, red-eye reduction, forced flash, slow synchro and red-eye reduction + slow synchro. The Intelligent Flash system studies the scene to be shot and will automatically control power output thus ensuring that a balanced exposure is achieved. Natural light and flash mode will take two photographs one after the other, one with and one without flash, you can then make the choice of which you prefer when viewing them side by side.

A selection of scene modes are available where optimum settings have already been preselected to suit certain situations and these include portrait, landscape, beach, party, sport, night, underwater and fireworks. Colour modes are black & white, chrome and standard. Easy to understand text giving a description of the chosen mode will help in making your choice. The Fuji FinePix F45fd is powered by a Li-ion battery NP-70 which gives approximately 300 shots per charge and a battery charger, BC-70, is included within the package.

Still images are JPEG, Exif Ver 2.2 and movie images are AVI (Motion JPEG) and these can be stored on the internal memory of 25MB or on xD Picture Card/SD media. If using cards on a day to day basis, the internal memory can act as a back-up ensuring that you do not miss an opportunity because your card is full. Movies can be taken at 30fps, 640x480/320x240 with monaural sound. Images can be played back on the 2.5" LCD screen that has an anti-reflective coating and gives an expanded viewing angle, playback functions include slide show, sorting by date, rotation, auto and Intelligent Face Detection.
