Fuji FinePix S5600 Zoom Review

The Fuji FinePix S5600 Zoom is a very capable camera as it not only houses 5 megapixels Super CCD HR it also has a 10x optical Fujinon zoom lens. These together with the option of manual control provide the means to produce excellent results. Image clarity and colour are assured with the FinePix S5600 Zoom as well as low noise and excellent tonal response.

Because the lens is fixed within the Fuji S5600 and does not have to extend or retract, the FinePix S5600 is ready immediately it is turned on (1.1 seconds) with the shutter release reacting in 0.01 seconds. There is also no danger of dust entering the camera which can occur when lens are interchangeable.

The S5600 can be operated automatically or it can let you do the thinking by selecting shutter speed, aperture, ISO and focus thus extending your creative talents.

Movies can be taken at high level 30 fps VGA benchmark and can be played back on a TV screen. The Fuji FinePix S5600 Zoom is PictBridge compatible.

The S5600 has a 1.8" LCD monitor with approximately 100% coverage and images can be stored on xD-Picture Card.

Sensitivity is auto and equivalent to ISO 64/100/200/400/800/1600, the level of 1600 ensures that blurring is less likely to occur. White Balance includes auto (fine, fluorescents, shade, incandescent and custom) and flash modes are auto, red-eye reduction, forced, slow synchro, suppressed and red-eye reduction with slow synchro. Self-timer covers approximately 2/10 seconds. Colour modes are black and white, chrome and standard.

The S5600 is powered by 4 x AA alkaline batteries which come in the box and AA NiMH batteries and AC power adaptor AC-5VX are available as optional accessories.

i purchased the FinePix S5600 Zoom approx 1yr ago it developed a fault with the optics which Fuji repaired and returned in a short space of time (what excellent service if only other companies could be as efficient) well done Fuji

This is a very good, extremely well priced camera cappable of producing very good results up to A4 size. I have several other digital cameras including 3 DSLRs. The S5600 cant compete with some but it is still one of my favourite cameras. I prefer the images over those produced by my S9500. The flash is better than that of the S900, I feel.

I bought this from argos for £112! brillant camera, very fast to use with focus & exposure 95% spot on, the 10x zoom is one of the best features. really cant fault this bargin priced camera

This is my 3rd Fuji digital camera. With the others I had no problems, but on this one the battery compartment opened very easily. I contacted Fuji and they gave me a return number. I sent it on monday afternoon and it was back repaired by thursday morning. Time including postage was 67 hours and I live in West Wales. Thankyou Fuji for exceptional service.
