Fuji FinePix S7000 Zoom Review
The Fuji Finepix S7000 Zoom is a compact camera with an SLR style shape and as well as having many features it also has full manual control which gives creative control over aperture, focusing, shutter speed and flash.
With 6 megapixels and the Super CCD HR, excellent photographs can be produced that can also have been enhanced by use of the Fujinon 6x optical zoom lens or 3.2x digital zoom within the Finepix S7000. The RAW mode stores images exactly as you shoot them.
The high sensitivity settings will cover most situations as the Fuji S7000 Zoom has an auto equivalent to ISO 160-800 and a manual equivalent to ISO 200/400/800. Allowance for white balance can be made in both automatic and manual, with manual including shade, fine, incandescent and a range of fluorescents.
The Finepix S7000 has a selection of shooting modes including automatic or various scene modes including landscape, portrait, night and sport. Colour modes available are black and white, chrome and standard.
Various modes within the flash are available. There is auto flash which uses a flash control sensor or other modes to chose from including; red eye reduction, suppressed flash and slow synchro.
Images can be viewed on the 1.8" LCD monitor and the Finepix S7000 Zoom runs on 4 x AA alkaline batteries. Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are an optional accessory as is the AC power adaptor.
To give added flexibility the Finepix S7000 has dual card format: xD-Picture Card and Microdrive.
AVI format movies with sound can be recorded at 30fps.

Love it! Did a lot of research and decided that this was the one which offered me the best value for money. So far, I have not been disappointed in either close-up or distance shots, both perform well.
It took a little while for the adjustments to become second nature to me but once learnt, not forgotten.

I was excited when I got this camera but I have been disappointed with its performance. Thought the picture quality should have been better than it is and it could turn out to be expensive battery wise.

Daddy gave me this camera for passing my exams as I have taken an interest in photography. To start with I am concentrating on plants and flowers to see how well I can produce lifelike images. So far I have impressed myself with the quality of photos that I can produce using this camera. I am sure that the more I learn about the features on this camera the better I will become.

I have recently become an aunty (and godmother to be), didn't own a camera and thought it was about time that I did.
I asked friends and family what their thoughts were on a suitable camera and, having also read up on the subject myself, decided to go for the S7000 - in at the deep end.
It is relatively easy to understand and operate and it works on AA batteries which is useful as they are easily available.
Have taken lots of photos and I really appreciate that I can view my picture on an LCD to see if I am happy with it or not. Final results have been excellent - it was definity the right choice.
