The Fuji IS Pro is built for durability with its strong magnesium alloy shell and weatherproof seals, responding well to constant use. This camera has 12.34 megapixels but Fujifilm is now concentrating more on image quality developments that will increase the performance of the sensor and the Fuji IS Pro will give you improvement in noise, colour, tonality and dynamic range.
The Super CCD SR Pro sensor together with the Real Photo Processor Pro will achieve clear, detailed and naturally coloured photographs whilst the dark noise reduction with give clean images when long shutter speeds are used.
Amongst the many features the Fuji IS Pro has to offer is Face Detection technology whereby up to ten faces can be detected in a scene and the 2.5" LCD monitor can be used to zoom in and look at the detail, focus and exposure.
Another feature is the extended dynamic range which will produce more detailed tones and the preset option which allows you to create the exact portrait image you are looking for.
File format is Exif-JPEG (Exif2.21),DPOF compliant, CCD-RAW, CCD-RAW + Exif-JPEG. White Balance has auto, shade, preset custom, incandescent, fluorescent and colour temperature, ISO sensitivity range is auto/100/125/160/200/250/320/400/500/640/800/1000/1250/1600/2000/2500/03200 and with the i-TTL flash exposure metering system advantage can be taken of the creative options available and excellent results can be obtained with the Nikon compatible speedlights.
The Fuji IS Pro can provide a 30 second live image CCD preview to the LCD monitor which can be digitally magnified or the brightness altered in order to improve focusing and light. This image can also be viewed on an NTSC/PAL monitor or PC using the USB 2.0 connection from the optional HyperUtility HS-V3 software. The split screen mode lets you modify the focus with quick succession shots and this feature is particularly useful in low light UV photography.
A rechargeable Li-ion battery powers the Fuji IS Pro which has a fixed-eye level pentaprism viewfinder with built in diopter adjustment. Dimensions are 147mm x 113mm x 74mm and weight is approximately 820g.
