Kodak EasyShare C340 Review
An easy to use camera with its Retinar Aspheric All Glass Lens capturing every detail and resulting in eye-catching prints.
The Kodak EasyShare C340 has 3x optical zoom which lets you come nearer to your subject without losing quality whilst the 5x advanced digital zoom can enlarge your image.
Pictures can be previewed in or outdoors using the 4cm high resolution colour display and the auto picture rotation feature means that you can see your shots the correct way round.
Other review modes allow magnification of up to 8x, fast scroll or the ability to view more than one at a time.
Built into the Kodak C340 digital camera are various everyday modes to choose from: automatic which will help you to achieve the best result possible without your input; portrait and landscape which will put either the subject or distant scenes into sharp focus; close-up allowing you to be close to your subject without image deterioration and sport which you can use to take a moving image without blurring.
There are also some special modes available to use such as; night portrait, snow, beach, self portrait, party, fireworks, backlight, children and burst. Each of these modes creating the correct format for your particular shot.
When using flash, selection can be made; auto, red-eye, fill and off.
The Kodak C340 encourages your artistic side with the various colour modes: colour, sepia, black and white. The Kodak Colour Science within this camera produces rich, vibrant colour resulting in superior prints.
It is also possible to make a video of up to 80 minutes continuous shooting using the C340 and, if the memory card is of sufficient size, audio can be added.
As the C340 is part of the KODAK EASYSHARE system this enables you to share your pictures. The Share button on the camera lets you select those pictures you may wish to print or e-mail later. The Easyshare Software is also included when you purchase this digital camera which works with Easyshare cameras and docks enabling easy transfer and sharing.
Optional Extras include: KODAK EASYSHARE Camera Dock Series 3 and Printer Dock Series 3.
Use the camera dock to upload images to your computer, this also charges your camera battery in under 3.5 hours. The printer dock does the same as the camera dock plus you can print without a computer and create pictures in 4 different sizes up to 10 x 15 cm.

Hi
Had mine nearly 3 years. The battery life is the worst. Recently it stopped working with my rechargeables so I just bought some lithium batteries, it won't work, so I am taking it that this camera is now dead. It is easy to use and does take fantastic photos. But the other terrible thing about it as well as the battery life is the kodak software. I don't have the printer dock, so upload the photos to my p.c. The problems I have had with that software, it is so slow, crashes constantly, its really bad. I won't by another Kodak camera because of it.

This camera is preposterous! It eats through batteries and turns on easily. even long life rechargable batteries run out fast. The picture quality was good though. I bought this camera when it as firts put so it coast around £200. To be honest i feel like i was robbed as this camera is rubbish. I bough a new camera recently 'Samsung P900' and it is a brilliant little camera and i got it half price for £100, worth the money completly. If buying a new camera i do not recommend the kodak.

Nice small camera if thats what you like. However, battery life very poor and camera will switch on even if in a bag and as previous review states, when you go to use it it is US due to this.
Would not buy again.

Good solid feeling camera very cheap and easy to use ideal for beginner. As with other users I found that the batteries do not last long so take spares with you and also the camera does tend to turn itself on. Quite bulky so wont really fit in a pocket, also fairly heavy due to the good build. Having said that the pictures I have taken using it have been wonderful especially given the price. Sadly one year after purchase it has suddenly stopped working for no apparent reason and not worth the cost of repairing so not really an environmentally friendly option.

Dial on top badly positioned so camera turns on in pocket or bag all the time, battery then usually flat before even taken a picture. Battery life very poor even with rechargable batteries. Stopped working completely after a year. Very poor quality. DO NOT BUY. Have a samsung now, much better.

this is a really neat little camera, but the short battery life can really get in the way, hard to see how it gets through them so speedily..taken some fantastic pics with it though and well recommended buy.

There is a green, amber and red feature for quality of picture taken. However, the majority of my photos end up being red (poor quality). Additionally, the 'easyshare' facility is not what it says. I have not been able to work out how it works!!!

Let's start with bad news first. This little camera will eat your batteries alive. Be sure to have rechargable batteries!! And decent quality ones too. The switch on top does tend to get rotated and turn the camera on. Solve this problem by taking the batteries out of the camera when not using it.
The good things??? Simplicity. This camera will take some awesome pictures if you know how to use it. Easy to read instructions tell you what feature does, etc. And since it has a bunch of sweet features, you can take some really cool pictures! Overall, this is a great camera if you have a tight budget and need a decent camera. And since it's only 149.00 dollars, you should be able to buy it easily!

Very pleased with our purchase. Taking great shots indoors and outdoors with the help of all the various automatic functions. The C340 has also disposed of one problem we always had when taking photos of my son and his wife in that now we have no red-eye.

Pictures are really clear, even when close-up and because of all the help tools incorporated into the C340 I am becoming quite adventurous in my choice of shots. Haven't tried the video yet, but I will.

Maybe I purchased a Friday afternoon model but unfortunately I have experienced some problems using the C340. The lens have stopped moving and it is so easy to turn on that it does it in my handbag and the next thing I know is that my batteries are flat.

I appreciate the fact that this camera is lightweight and fits easily into my pocket. The C340 is also very easy to use and I have already taken some great pictures. Have decided it will be worth getting the printer dock too.

The C340 is a great camera. Shot a video of my grandson's second birthday party which came out really well and will be worth keeping for posterity.
