Kodak EasyShare C813 Review

The Kodak EasyShare C813 with 8.2 megapixels will give you exceptional quality prints even when cropped and includes 3x optical and 5x continuous digital zoom using KODAK AF aspheric zoom lens. This means that close up shots or enlarged shots do not lose any of their picture quality.

Still images can be stored on the 16MB internal memory or on SD/MMC memory card as JPEG/EXIF v2.21 and video as QuickTime motion JPEG with audio. Video quality is VGA (640x480) at 15fps and QVGA (320x240) at 30fps with continuous length of up to 80 minutes depending upon memory available. Review options include; album, slide show, multi-up and edit picture for still and view by, album, slideshow, multi-up and protect for video. The Kodak C813 also benefits from having KODAK Perfect Touch technology. Images can be viewed on the 2.4" LCD.

The Kodak EasyShare C813 has focus modes of normal, macro and landscape, ISO sensitivity of auto (80 - 200) and manual - 80/100/200/400/800/1250 (for low light conditions), white balance includes open shade, tungsten, fluorescent, daylight and auto and flash modes are auto, off, fill and red-eye reduction. Three colour modes are available; black and white, sepia and colour and there is a selection of preset scene modes where optimum settings have already been selected to suit certain scenes which includes landscape, portrait, night, children, fireworks, sunset, flower, sports, snow and beach.

This camera, with its various assist modes, is very easy to use both for still images and video. Digital image stabilisation means that blurring which as been caused by camera shake or moving subjects can be reduced and there are many picture improvement and on-camera editing features available. The Kodak C813 is part of the KODAK EASYSHARE system so sharing your pictures with others is very simple using the on-camera Share button to tag the images that you would like to print or email later. The optional EASYSHARE camera dock series 3 allows you to transfer your pictures to a computer for viewing, emailing and printing and will also charge your batteries. The addition of the optional EASYSHARE printer dock means that you can print high quality pictures at the touch of a button.

The Kodak EasyShare C813 is ready to use once unpacked and comes with KODAK alkaline AA batteries or equivalent USB cable, wrist strap EASYSHARE software and custom camera insert for optional camera and printer docks. The camera measures 91 x 65.7 x 37.3 and weighs approximately 137g.
