Kodak EasyShare M1033 Review

Whether you print at home or elsewhere, the Kodak EasyShare M1033 with 10 megapixels will give you high quality pictures even up to 76 x 102cm. The 3x optical zoom will allow you to come close to your subject without any loss of quality and the 5x digital zoom will give even further enlargement to your pictures. The KODAK Retinar Aspheric lens produces a clear picture and technology reduces any blurring caused by camera shake or movement.

Images can be viewed on the large 3" wide-angle viewing LCD and playback options for still images include slideshow, multi-up and multimedia slideshow. Whether or not images are shot horizontally or vertically the auto picture rotation can be selected which will enable them to be viewed right side up. Videos which can be taken in QuickTime MPEG4 format (using less memory) with audio at 30fps as HD (720), VGA (640x480) and QVGA (320x240) can be reviewed as view all, search, multi-up, edit slideshow and prints can also be made. It is also possible to zoom whilst shooting video footage and HD pictures can be viewed on HD TV or alternate HD equipment. Images are stored on the 32MB internal memory or on SDHC/SD card as the Kodak M1033 has an expansion slot.

The Kodak EasyShare M1033 has focus modes of normal, macro selectable and landscape with multi-zone and centre zone focus modes. ISO sensitivity is auto/64/100/200/400/800/1600/3200/6400, white balance has auto, tungsten, daylight, open shade and fluorescent and flash modes are auto, off, red-eye and red-eye pre flash. The EasyShare M1033 technology includes Face Detection, where faces are automatically located and appropriate settings chosen for the shot and scene modes where settings have been preselected to suit certain situations and these include; portrait, landscape, panorama, sunset, fireworks, flower, children, night, snow and beach. Colour modes include natural, which is the default, black and white, high, low and sepia.

Technology includes; Smart Capture giving automatic adjustment to settings, Intelligent Scene Detection again analysing conditions, Intelligent Capture control which automatically deals with focus, exposure and ISO and Intelligent Image Processing reducing noise and eliminating dark shadows. The Kodak M1033 is part of the KODAK EASYSHARE system which makes the sharing of pictures very easy with the on-camera share button, images can be tagged and printed or emailed later on using the optional EASYSHARE camera dock series 3 which can also recharge your battery in less that 3.5 hours. The optional EASYSHARE G610 printer dock will also charge your battery, transfer pictures to a computer and produce quality prints.

The Kodak EasyShare M1033 weighs approximately 126g and measures 93.7 x 57.8 x 20.7 and comes with Li-Ion rechargeable camera battery KLIC-7004, AC adaptor for in-camera charging, USB cable, wrist strap, EASYSHARE software and custom insert for optional EASYSHARE camera and printer docks.
