Kodak EasyShare V550 Review
The Kodak EasyShare V550 digital camera, although small, has an impressive range of features. The 5.0 Megapixels has the ability to produce excellent prints up to 50 x 75 cm whilst the 3x Schneider-Kreuznach C-Variogon optical zoom lens delivers the required clarity, precision and sparkle even when up close to your subject.This camera has a Colour Science Chip which will ensure that the colours produced on your prints are accurate particularly with regard to flesh colours.
Your shots can be easily viewed on the 6.4cm, high resolution display even in bright light and the 170° wide viewing angle means you can share your shots. Another useful feature is that all shots can be viewed the correct way up using the auto picture rotation.
The Kodak V550 digital camera is also capable of producing TV quality continuous digital MPEG-4 video with audio which can be played back on the camera. The digital image stablisation prevents shaking affecting your production. Prints can also be taken from the video and video cables are included so that you can link up with your TV.
As the V550 digital camera is part of the KODAK EASYSHARE system, it is very easy to share your pictures. You can start at the back of your camera by selecting the image you want to share and then, by pressing the Share button, it will be ready to print or e-mail when you are ready.
KODAK EASYSHARE software is included in this package which makes it easy for your to edit, organise, print or view on your computer.
Also included is the KODAK EASYSHARE Photo Frame Dock 2. This enables you to view your own choice of slide show in the dock, to transfer your photos to your computer, at the same time recharging your batteries.
Optional accessories include: EASYSHARE Printer Dock Series 3 which can be used with or without a computer. You can create borderless prints up to 10 x 15 cm in approximately 90 seconds, transfer pictures and charge your camera battery.

Love the look of my V550, my friends are quite envious. Although it is small and can fit in my handbag it has great picture quality and is really easy to use. It takes excellent quality video too which makes it a very compact camcorder.

Not the cheapest of cameras but the V550 is certainly worth buying as it is also a great camcorder.
Simple buttons on the top of the camera make it very easy to use and you have lots of choices you can make regarding the style of your pictures. I am putting a scrapbook together for my Mum and Dad's anniversary and have experimented with the different scene modes with great results so far.

Great pictures, good video, small, easy to use. I bought the V550 on the spur of the moment but now I hope it will last me forever. It has such great style that I have often been asked about it when out taking pictures. It is hard to imagine that within such a small case there is such a powerful and versatile camera.

I didn't believe at first that such a small camera would have such a good range of features. As I am interested in plants, I have been very pleased with the quality images I have been able to take at close range and that turn out so true to their colour. The only thing I have found to be slightly disappointing is that if there is too much within the picture then some of the detail is lost.
This camera is also good at taking videos - a pocket camcorder.

Who wouldn't like to have this camera in their Christmas stocking. The V550 is easy to use, produces great images and can even take videos all at not too high a price. We went down to the coast a couple of week-ends ago, the weather was a bit dull but because of the features within the camera we found that we had still taken some pretty good photos.
