Kodak EasyShare V570 Review
5.0 megapixels result in excellent prints up to 50 x 75 cm as well as giving the facility to crop and enlarge without sacrificing quality.
The Kodak EasyShare V570 is the first digital camera to have Kodak Retina dual lens technology which includes Schneider-Kreuznach C-Variogon lenses. These features offer ultra wide angle (23mm equivalent) and 5x optical zoom range resulting in clear and sharp images.
To help with your performance 22 scene modes are included, for example; day and night portrait and landscape, children, snow, beach, flower, candlelight, sunset and others. Another helpful tool is the red-eye reduction along with blurring detection.
Other interesting features in the V570 include the panorama stitch mode which captures up to 180° of wide angle coverage and the Kodak Color Science Chip. This is a high speed processor which will give a great result in any light; natural colours and correct skin colour.
Once your images have been captured they can be viewed clearly on the wide viewing angled 6.4cm, high resolution colour display no matter what the brightness. There is also an auto picture rotation feature which allows you to view your images the right way up.
Videos can be produced that are TV quality (VGA) with sound at 30fps. In addition, using the MPEG-4 compression during the video means that you can secure more footage by using less memory storage. If you have a shaky hand the image stabilisation technology will help counteract this.
Videos can be viewed either on your camera, your computer monitor or television screen.
As the V570 is part of the EASYSHARE system it is very simple to share with others by using the Share button on your camera. This is at the back of the camera and you can select your images, press the button and print or e-mail them at a later time.
If you keep your selected images within the Favorites collection these can then be shown anywhere at any time.
The Photo Frame Dock 2 included means that you can organise a slide show which can be shown in the dock, transfer images to your computer and recharge your battery.
Use your organisational and creative skills to produce an individual show and then choose from the printing options available. If you print onto Kodak inkjet photo papers, the One Touch to Better Pictures feature will automatically adjust inkjet printer settings to print quality images.
To help print at home, the following optional accessories are available; KODAK EASYSHARE Photo Printer 500 (including KODAK PERFECT TOUCH technology) and the EASYSHARE Printer Dock Plus Series 3.
With the Photo Printer pictures can be printed from media cards and USB including PictBridge-enabled digital cameras. This unit works with or without a computer and has an 8.9cm display.
Again, the Printer Dock Plus can be used with or without a computer to produce pictures from mini up to 10 x 15 cm in approximately a minute and a half. This dock will also recharge your battery and transfer images.

I found this V570 very easy to use and small enough to carry around with me. I love the fact that I am able to take pictures wherever and whenever I like. Also, instead of carrying a photograph album around with me all I have to do is show my favourites directly on the camera. Still learning to use all the different functions but I am getting there with fantastic results.

Have bought the V570 as an addition to my original high zoom camera because it is small and can come everywhere with me which means that I can take those off-the-cuff shots. Even though it is a small camera it takes high quality pictures which have been greatly admired by family and friends.

I love the wide-angled lens feature as I can get more into my picture than with cameras I have previously used. Even more amazing is the panorama mode that stitches shots together to make a large photograph, although it may take me a little while to completely master this one. I organise day trips and this Kodak V570 will enable me to take some great group photos.

Not totally sure about the design of this one but I have certainly welcomed the fact that this is a small, easy to use digital camera with lots of scope. I find it surprising that a camera of this size can produce such great landscape photographs.
It was my Nan's 80th birthday recently and I managed to take some great pictures of us all at her party even though some of these were taken indoors.

Great results from such a small camera. Really pleased that I was given the V570 as a present, my first digital camera. Using the wide-angle lens I have already managed to produce some good landscape shots whilst away for the week-end.
It is very easy to use but it took a while to get used to the buttons as these, for me, are quite close together. It was a camera I had asked for but this one I see also has the video function and I am looking forward to trying this out later.
