Just unpack the box and you are ready to create some exceptional photographs with the Kodak EasyShare Z1285. This camera has 12.4 megapixel CCD, 5x optical and 5x continuous advanced digital zoom using Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon lens with image stabiliser which reduces blurriness due to camera shake or movement. The Kodak Z1285 has auto focus and focus modes of normal AF, macro AF, infinity AF and manual, ISO sensivity of auto/100/200/400/800/1600/3200, white balance of auto, daylight, tungsten, open shade and fluorescent and flash modes of auto, off, fill and red-eye reduction. The EasyShare Z1285 will automatically select between ISO 100 and 3200 based on lighting conditions.

Images can be viewed on the 2.5" high resolution LCD and stored on the 64MB internal memory or on SDHC/SD memory card. Still images can be reviewed as single image, slide show, multi-up, album with Perfect Touch technology allowing on-camera cropping. Regardless of whether your pictures are vertical or horizontal, the orientation sensor will view them the right way up. Video review options include play, forward and rewind (also by frame), slide show and by date and can be shot in QuickTime video format MPEG4, using less memory, VGA (640 x 480) at 30fps and QVGA (320 x 240) at 30fps. Pictures can be taken and shown in HD on an HDTV or alternative HD equipment.

The Kodak Z1285 has five Colour modes; black and white, sepia, natural, high or low colour and scene modes where selections have been predetermined to suit certain scenarios such as portrait, landscape, sunset, candlelight, fireworks, flower, snow, beach night and flower. Panorama stitch is also available where up to three shots can be combined to make one large picture. Smart scene mode will automatically select from the nine available scene modes or, if an appropriate scene mode cannot be detected, default will be made to auto.

New technology provides the Color Science Chip which will ensure ensure colours that are true to life as the camera will adjust to any lighting situation and provide an analysis of optimum selections to provide excellent picture quality. The Kodak EasyShare Z1285 will capture bright white and true colour, accurate flesh tones.

As the Kodak Z1285 is part of the KODAK EASYSHARE system, sharing your pictures with others is easy using the share button on the reverse of the camera. Tag the images you wish to send and these can be emailed or printed later. The optional camera dock series 3 allows you to transfer pictures to your computer and will charge batteries in less than 3.5 hours whilst the G610 printer dock means you are the touch of a button away from quality prints.

The Kodak EasyShare Z1285 is powered by a Ni-MH rechargeable battery pack, 2x AA Ni-MH lithium or Oxy-Alkaline batteries and comes with AA batteries, USB cable, wrist strap, EASYSHARE software and custom camera insert for the optional EASYSHARE camera and printer docks. Place the camera on an EASYSHARE HDTV dock and, using an SD card, USB flash drive or card reader attached to the USB port, display your photos as single image, multi-up or as slideshow.
