Nikon Coolpix 5600 Review

The Nikon Coolpix 5600 can be used by both beginners and those who already have had some experience of digital cameras. The help button will explain the different functions so that you can be sure to make the right choice.

The 5600 has many features, all of which are easy to use, but it is still a light, compact camera that you can carry around with you.

With 5.1 megapixels and 3x optical Zoom-Nikkor lens you will produce high quality images every time, using the zoom for showing fine detail. These are greatly enhanced by the Nikon's D-lighting function, which works automatically after a picture has been taken, to brighten dark or back lit subjects. The Red-Eye Fix also works with you to detect and correct the problem of red-eye when using flash.

Another aid included in the Coolpix 5600 are the 16 scene modes which give you the ability to adjust camera settings in order to achieve the perfect result. These modes include beach, snow and night and can also be used when it is not possible to use your flash. You select the mode and your camera chooses the appropriate settings for your subject. The latest addition to the list being the underwater mode which widens your scope considerably.

The Coolpix 5600 also has 5 colour options, encouraging your creative side, including standard, vivid, sepia, cyanotope and black and white.

The combination of all these features makes photography fun.

This digital camera has long battery life and is compatible with many rechargeable and disposable batteries.

Great camera, easy to use, very intuitive. Only complaint is intermittent problem with the screen going blank and not being able to take photo's or switch off the camera. Only way is to remove batteries and start again.

This Coolpix 5600 is so easy to use and my pictures are very professional looking that I am happy to share them with friends and family.

The flash is good for indoor portraits but not quite good enough if a larger picture is wanted. However, it has got rid of red-eye and warns me if I have taken a blurry picture so that I can try again.

Outdoor photos are great.

My aunt bought me my Coolpix 5600 and I have been really pleased with it.

I tend to take my 5600 around with me and snap pictures wherever I happen to be and I had been told that the battery life was not good with this camera. Fortunately, I have not found this to be the case at all and I am using the batteries which came with the package.

I have also made a couple of movies and am quite proud of myself.

This is a great camera to have as you can start as a learner and gain a lot of useful experience because the Coolpix 5600 is so easy to use. I have played with the scene modes and actually took some underwater photos whilst on holiday in Cyprus. They came out really well. I would have liked it to be a bit quicker to show the picture on screen but this is a very minor criticism.

My Coolpix 5600 goes everywhere with me. It is small, well built and very easy to use. Takes brilliant photos whatever mode I am in, even when I just point and shoot.
