Nikon Coolpix P60 Review

The Nikon Coolpix P60 with 8.1 megapixels and 5x zoom Nikkor lens gives results that are clear and precise even when images are enlarged or cropped. The Nikon P60 follows the traditional design and offers stability, ease of use and an excellent performance weighing approximately 160g without battery and memory card and measuring 95.5 x 63.5 x 36mm.

The electronic viewfinder works with you throughout the zoom range and images being stored on the 12MB internal memory or on SD memory card can be viewed on the 2.5" LCD monitor. The Nikon Coolpix P60 is powered by easy to find AA batteries; alkaline giving approximately 190 shots, 230 shots with oxyride, 720 with lithium and 410 with EN MH1. Two alkaline batteries are supplied with the Coolpix P60 together with USB cable UC-E6 and software suite CD-ROM.

ISO sensitivity range is 80/100/200/400/800/1600/2000 and auto. High ISO 2000, and optical vibration reduction, helps to reduce blurry images due to low light conditions or subject movement by using faster shutter speeds. The Nikon P60 also features Face-priority focus where faces are selected within the picture with automatic choices made to ensure excellent results, D-lighting which compensates for dark shadows and the in-camera red-eye fix eliminating incorrect eye colouring.

The Nikon Coolpix P60 has an easy to use mode dial giving access to exposure modes in auto and manual and giving you freedom with the design of your frame. Optional accessories include an MH-71 battery charger and Ni-MH rechargeable battery EN-MH0-B2.
