This is my 1st DSLR camera but my 6th digital camera in total i have had some of the Nikon SLR cameras from the f60 f70 f80 and the semi pro f90 all for land and underwater use and all that i can tell you,if you are thinking of buying a d80 is that you will not be disappointed was very wary in spending a lot of money and might not get the quality of the film camera but no the picture quality is superb ,i use a Fuji e900 underwater with some great results but i am very confident in the d80 i will splash out the £1500 for the underwater housing as it is a fantastic camera, as you might already know it uses the same image processor as the professional d200 so that will tell you a lot about this camera, at the moment the cheapest is £610 after £50 rebate from Nikon but this offer end January 2008 so be quick but now that i have used it for a few weeks i would spend £800 on this camera.
