Olympus FE-110 Review

The Olympus FE-110 gives excellent results with its 5 megapixels, 2.8x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom and images can be viewed clearly on the 1.5" colour LCD monitor.

Within this automatic camera there is also a choice of four scene modes which will select the right settings appropriate to the subject, these are; landscape, portrait, night and self portrait.

The Olympus FE-110 has automatic white balance and sensitivity with a range of ISO 64-320.

The built in flash modes in the Olympus FE-110 are; automatic in low light, red-eye reduction, fill-in and off.

The FE-110 has an internal memory of 28MB and uses XD-Picture Cards ranging from 16 to 1GB.

The easy to use menu is also available in a choice of six languages and additional languages can be downloaded if needed.

The Olympus FE-110 runs on 2x AA abatteries and can also use 2x AA Ni-MH or AA Ni-Cd rechargeable batteries or AC adaptor.

The camera is PictBridge compatible and allows direct printing.

It is also possible to shoot QuickTime Motion JPEG movies with the FE-110.

What I like about this camera is that it was low in cost, I can carry it around with me easily and all I have to do is 'point and shoot' and I have excellent photos.

It is so easy to use that I didn't have to read any instructions, just took it out of the box, put in the batteries and I was away.

Would certainly recommend this camera for its ease of use.

We wanted a small, inexpensive camera that the whole family could use on a daily basis without having to worry about how much it cost or deal with complicated settings, etc. This has turned out to be a really good buy. Our family consists of Mum, Dad, 11 year old daughter, 8 year old son and a dog and we have all managed to use this camera successfully and have printed off some great pictures (mind you, the dog is having a bit of trouble!) This is a good, simple all-rounder
