We were going on a trip through Europe and currently didn't own a decent camera so, having used Olympus in the past, made the SP-350 our choice. Whilst we were away we took many varied shots, different lighting, contrasting locations, and we have been extremely pleased with the results. The auto modes are excellent and it also gave us plenty of manual choices. Our battery experience was that CRV3 batteries gave the longest life, much better than rechargeables. Very pleased we chose this one

I was looking in this price range for a new camera and, from what I could see, this one was offering the best range of features for the money.
It has not disappointed me yet as it offers a great range of manual controls which I like using. Auto is also very easy to use and gives excellent results, but I like to experiment.
I will take time to go through the manual properly as I feel there is a lot more that I can still achieve.

Mum and Dad (who could be considered to be technical dinosaurs) bought this camera on recommendation and I have been amazed at the brilliant photos they have taken. They say that is is very easy to use in auto mode and that they are gradually learning to use the manual features, of which there are many apparently. It has opened up a new hobby for them

The Olympus SP-350 takes excellent photos, different lighting conditions are dealt with easily. The battery life is good and startup and recycle times are excellent. I have used a few other olympus digital cameras in my time and have never been dissapointed.
