Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX07 Review
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX07 is a slim, compact camera which incorporates 7.2 megapixel and has a 28mm wide angle 3.6 optical zoom f/2.8 LEICA DC Vario-Elmarit lens. This has been made possible by the inclusion of an Extra High Refractive Index Aspherical lens (EA) which allows you to capture groups, buildings and panoramic scenes successfully. The Lumix FX07 also has 4 x digital zoom.
Also incorporated within the Panasonic FX07 is the Mega OIS system where the latest technology allows the camera to compensate for blurriness caused by shaky hands and the Intelligent ISO Control (IIC) which compensates for movement by the subject.
The FX07 records images on SD or SDHC Memory Card and MultiMediaCard with still images as JPEG and motion images as QuickTime Motion JPEG. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX07 is powered by a Li-ion battery pack with an AC adaptor available as as optional accessory and has a battery life of approximately 320 pictures.
Various scene modes are included within the DMC-FX07 where preset selections can be chosen for various situations such as night, party, fireworks, snow, underwater and beach. Colour effect modes are black and white, sepia, cool and warm. Flash choices are auto, auto/red eye reduction, slow sync/red eye reduction and forced on/off.
The Panasonic DMC-FX07 has an ISO range of auto/I.ISO/100/200/400/800/1250 with White Balance covering auto, daylight, shade, cloudy halogen and white set. An AF Assist lamp also can be used in low light conditions.
Images can be viewed on the large 2.5" TFT LCD display and can be played back in various formats such as thumbnail, calendar, zoom, slide show and rotation.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX07 is PictBridge compatible and a selection of software is included in the package - LUMIX Simple Viewer and selection of ArcSoft.

A very good camera.I am so pleased with the outstanding image quality and it is so easy to navigate the menus.
This camera takes great pictures indoors and ouside.I must say that I am very pleased with photos taken in bright sunlight ie: sea and blue sky,my old 5mp camera used to fail on these types of shots where darkness would creep in from the corners, making a sunny photo look like a winters day.
There are only a couple of issues with this camera - to me only small:
Moviemode playback is in 'quicktime'format,so if you use a windows pc you will have to download a plugin for it to play in windows media player. And the sound quality is a bit of a letdown too. However I have found that when converting the files from 'quicktime' to 'windows media files' using the free software 'windows media encoder' the sound quality improves greatly.
If its good pictues and close macro shots you are after then buy this camera.

I have had good Panasonic cameras in the past and when I decided I should move into the digital world they were my first thought. However, I did do some overall research but was pleased when I still thought that the Panasonic was the best deal for me.
I have found the camera very easy to use from first off and the images I am achieving are amazing. Have also used the video recording feature and have been pleasantly surprised at the quality achieved.
I know I have made the right choice with this buy.
