The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ7 has many major features including Intelligent ISO Control (preventing motion blur), Mega O.I.S. (compensating for shaky hands) and the high performance Venus Engine III that can record at a sensitivity as high as ISO 1250.

Various scene modes are included with the Panasonic DMC-LZ7 such as portrait, scenery, sports, candle, fireworks, beach snow, baby, sunset and pet.

Great camera, more than a simple point&shoot in my opinion. It has good amount of manual features, 6x optical zoom helps alot when i want to take landscape photos from afar( ex: light house) This is only my second digtal camera, before this all i had was some old 3Mega pixel, no manual control P.O.S. DMC-Lz7 has a fast start up, focuses on things preety fast( and thats not using the high speed auto focus) The pictures look great, i always leave it at ISO 100,fast shutter and Natural color, looks great everytime, amazing detail and clarity. The only downside of the camera is its flash, i wish it could of been a little stronger. Iam still learning how to take better night shots, since i only had it for a few days. Its failry easy to use menus,at first it seems like alot, but after you can fly through all of it no problem. Tons of scenes to choose from for all year round purposes, makes me excited to see fireworks mode, snow mode.
At first i bought the Canon 570 IS,returned it for several reason and got the DMC-LZ7, iam alot happier.
Ive been using only the Oxyride battaries and so far close to 200 pictures takin,i still have a full battery.
Id recommend to any of my freinds if they were in tha price range.
i paid $349.99plus tax(CAN)
