I was looking for a small, lightweight camera that didn't cost a fortune and therefore bought myself the Optio 60. I can't believe I managed to make such a good choice on my own.
As soon as I took it out of the box I instinctively knew what to do, it is so user friendly, and I already have some excellent photos. Using the preset functions is a dream and I don't have to make silly mistakes.
A very good camera for the cost

With 6 megapixels I was expecting a good performance from this little camera but although my outdoor shots were good, the indoor ones were certainly not acceptable. Even with making various adjustments I didn't see any improvement. The upshot being that, although it has other excellent features, I am afraid I will not be making full use of this camera and its a great shame really.

My partner bought me this camera for our 'anniversary' as he knows I like taking the odd photograph now and then.
So far, I am well pleased with my gift and it goes everywhere with me. It also uses AA batteries which, of course, you can buy almost anywhere.
I've bought a large SD card because the camera memory is not mega. I have also tried my hand at movies and was thrilled with the result, sound was excellent.
Would recommend this camera

I wanted a small camera that would travel well and take excellent pictures and found this one. This is my first digital camera and I found that it is easy to operate even without reading instructions and my pictures are of very good quality both in image and colour. I wouldn't be without the preset features as these make it so easy for me to take a good pic.
It pays to buy a large SD card as the internal memory is not fantastic and I would recommend changing to Eveready 2500 milliamp hour rechargeable batteries as this increases the number of pictures you can take - this was a tip given to me so I am passing it on to you. Good price for a 6 megapixel, great camera for those coming into digital photography
