Sony DSC-T30 Cybershot Review

The Sony DSC-T30 Cybershot has an ultra-slim aluminium body which can fit into a pocket and houses 7.2 megapixel Super HAD CCD with Carl Zeiss Vario Tessar 3x zoom lens and giving 6x precision digital zoom and 14x smart zoom.

For sharper shots the DSC-T30 Cybershot has Super SteadyShot optical image stabilisation to deal with blurring and full automatic and programme exposure modes.

Preselected scene modes include landscape, twilight, soft snap, beach, fireworks and candle, White Balance selections include auto, daylight, fluorescent, cloudy and incandescent, ISO sensitivity settings range from auto to 80/100/200/400/800/1000. Picture effects include; sepia, natural and black and white.

The Sony DSC-T30 has a built-in flash with four modes; auto, forced, slow synchro, red-eye reduction with light metering in multi, centre and spot modes.

The internal 58 MB memory has a capacity indicator and additional memory is available by using Memory Stick Duo and Memory Stick PRO Duo. The use of the Memory Stick PRO Duo allows movies to be taken with the DSC-T30 with MPEG VX Movie option for continuous 30fps at 640 x 480.

The Sony DSC-T30 Cybershot is powered by Stamina infoLithium battery for longer life and has a ower level indicator. The DSC-T30 has an approximate start up time of 1.3 seconds.

Images can be viewed on the 3" TFT Hybrid LCD monitor which operates both in bright and low light situations. Playback offers slideshow and slideshow with music as well as the facility to edit.

The Sony DSC-T30 Cybershot is DPOF and PictBridge compatible.
