I have been using this camera for more than a year now..and its simply brilliant. You just cannot go wrong with the user friendliness and impeccable results of this one. Plus its extremely compact & rugged...I am talking Indian Summer and Monsoon humidity here!
The only glitch I ever suffered was when my kid shoved the zoomed out lens inside..essentially breaking the caliberation. But sony service promptly fixed it within 2 days. Besides that, it has NEVER let us down.
It convinced my sister and another friend to buy the same camera..and post just this one perfect product experience, we chose Sony for our DVD, DSLR (H9-absolutely brilliant again..) & Camcorder (DCR-SR220E) as well.
Besides all reviews, you just cannot go wrong with a Sony..its always worth the price.

This has got to be the worlds most expensive disposable digital camera? It only worked for about 7 months. Now then lens gets stuck and is permanently out of focus which causes the camera to auto shut down. Shame, as the camera is a great compact design and has loads of features to help snappers of all abilities.
Having said all that, up until its demise, I found this was a great camera, easy to use and virtually impossible to take a bad shot, I've got some fantastic memories on file thanks to this little gadget.
I would have given it a 10/10 across the board if it had lasted even 1 full year.

thought i was getting a bargain. turns out you cant get a good value camera for the money.
havent even had it 5 months and the lens shutters only open fully occasionally when turned on, and the zoom button has ceased to function.
very dissapointed. my last digital camera lasted nearly two years and was very robust. this camera has been well looked after and has now broken.

Starting with image quality, purple fringing is a bit of a problem with this camera's images, but generally when looking at them from a 6x4 print they seem perfectly reasonable, and minor quality issues are barely noticeable.
It's a very usable camera, the navigation could be slightly easier, but generally it does all that you would expect for such a price tag, and there are some nice touches (like when you turn the mode dial, a definiton and the mode name appears on the screen).
