Sony DSC-W50 Cybershot Review
The slim lighweight aluminium body of the Sony DSC-W50 Cybershot houses 6 megapixel Super HAD CCD, 3x optical and 6x precision digital zoom with Smart Zoom of up to 13x with VGA using Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens.
The Sony DSC-W50 Cybershot has high IS sensitivity to help with the taking of those clearer shots from auto,80/100/200/400/800/1000.
White Balance choices are auto, daylight, fluoresent, cloudy and incandesent with the Sony W50 Cybershot having flash modes of auto, foced flash, slow sync and with red-eye reduction.
The battery system is lithium N with NP-BG1 supplied giving Stamina battery life of approximately 390 shots/195 minutes, and the DSC-W50 Cybershot has a battery life indicator. This camera also comes with a rechargeable battery and charger and has a start up time of 1.3 seconds.
Images are stored as JPEG, MPEG1 and the Sony DSC-W50 has an internal memory of 32MB and works with memory stick DUO/Memory PRO DUO. Movies can be shot as 640 x 480 at 30fps/16.6fps and 160 x 112 at 8.3fps. The DSC-W50 has a 2.5" TFT LCD screen with a 100% field of view and AF illuminator.
There is a choice of preset scene modes including twilight, portrait, landscape, snow, beach and high sensitivity and images can played back as slideshow, be trimmed, resized, and zoomed.
The Sony DSC-W50 Cybershot is PictBridge compatible.
